The Wall Street Journal recently reflected on Izzy Stradlin’s absence on the Guns N’ Roses Not in This Lifetime tour by contacting the former guitarist directly. Stradlin was asked about his lack of involvement, and said that it was financially motivated:

“The current GNR tour has been a great success for the guys. My nonparticipation was simply not being able to reach a happy middle ground through the negotiation process. That’s life, sometimes things don’t work out.”

It’s been previously reported that Stradlin was once offered five figures per appearance for the trek. He also walked out of GNR’s soundcheck during one of their mid-western gigs.
