Last week, we were shocked to hear about Inquisition frontman Dagon’s history with child pornography, which resulted in Season of Mist dropping them from their roster. Despite Dagon claiming his innocence, this news has result in an overall question about the band’s future.
The group released another statement to announce that they’ve been dropped from Satyricon’s highly anticipated final North American headlining tour. The Norwegian black metal act has yet-to-release a statement, however, Inquisition shared the following message:
“Inquisition extends its appreciation to all fans and individuals who have supported us throughout its career. A thank you will never be enough to express our level of regard to you.
Inquisition has been dropped from the Satyricon tour.
Inquisition will continue; in the meantime we respect everyone’s position and will allow time to control the chaos over its own horizons into its own order.
Once again our greatest level of appreciation to you.”
To top it off, Maryland Deathfest has announced Inquisition will no longer be playing this year and they are still looking for their replacement:
“There have been a few changes to the line-up recently.
Zemial, Chthe’ilist, Blk Ops, and Inquisition are no longer playing MDF.
Bölzer, Ascended Dead, and Future Terror have been confirmed as replacements. The replacement for Inquisition will be determined shortly.”
