Metal By Numbers is a weekly column in which we look at the top metal sellers and debuts of the week.

I don’t know about you, but to me January 2018 moved a pace so slow that Electric Wizard got jealous. Hell, I’m convinced the only reason we’re getting real Tool album updates is some cosmic force warped space and time for that one month. Conversely, February will be done within a week, and I feel like all I did was blink. Sure, being the shortest month of the year helps, but the fact that the first day of spring is in less than month still baffles me. Personally, I don’t mind picking up the pace so much since there’s a slew of new releases set to come rolling out the doors from Between the Buried and Me and Judas Priest at the start of March to TesseracT at the end of April. And that’s only four months into the year.
