Of Mice & Men vocalist Alan Ashby kicked off a firestorm on Twitter yesterday with an observation about the Best Metal Performance Grammy involving Code Orange.

 

It didn’t take long for Code Orange to reply

If it seemed like the Of Mice & Men vocalist had a vendetta against Code Orange, it soon became apparent why. Responding to a user asking about the diss, Ashby said that once he and guitarist Philip Manansala were watching Code Orange sidestage, the bassist broke a string and yelled at Manansala to get him a bass. Ashby kind of walked back his comments later:

But not before Sumerian Records founder defended Code Orange and asked for more unity.
