We are approaching the year mark from when Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor underwent spinal surgery, resulting in the delay of their tour with Marilyn Manson. Many watched Taylor perform while in pain and wearing a neck brace. In a brand new Loudwire video, the Loudwire Nights host Toni Gonzalez caught up with him a few weeks ago during Rock on the Range asking for an update.

The frontman expressed he’s doing OK and his performance with Stone Sour was the first time he was able to headbang. Additionally, he’s feeling better vocally since he quit smoking cigarettes over year ago. Later, Gonzalez asked if there was a Slipknot update. We already know Slipknot “ain’t doing shit right now,” however, Taylor provided a rough timeframe:

“Maybe in another year and a half, something like that. There’s nothing that says we won’t start getting demos together.”

It’s possible we won’t hear new Slipknot tunes, however, something is brewing, according to their Facebook:

Could they have something going on in Mexico, maybe a Knotfest? Guess we’ll find out soon. Watch the interview below:
