Chris Cornell’s sudden suicide has hit the world of rock n’ roll hard as the tributes continue. Dream Theater frontman James LaBrie performed an excerpt of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” on Saturday (20) at their show in Bucharest, Romania. They were moving towards the classic tune “Wait For Sleep,” as LaBrie and keyboardist Jordan Rudess composed a soothing surprise homage for Cornell. It sounded heartfelt from the beginning, but as the song progressed, you hear LaBrie say, “I forgot the fucking words.” Later in the video, you will notice he seemed a bit disgruntled about forgetting the lyrics. At least he tried, and it came from his heart.
