Last night, Metal Insider had an opportunity to see Rammstein: Paris at a one-night-only screening in Manhattan. The screening of the Jonas Akerlund-directed concert film showed in 46 countries worldwide last night. It’s a film that might be best appreciated by those that have already seen the band play live before, as Akerlund’s hyperactive style had many flash cuts and camera angles, and visually brilliant, but doesn’t sit still enough to really focus on the band as much as previous films Volkerball or In Amerika did. On May 19th, the film will be coming to home video.

The film was culled from two Paris performances at Palais Omnisports Arena back in 2012. In addition to the performance, some digital effects are added in that add a touch of surrealism to the band’s already over-the-top stage show. Check below for a taste of the film via “Willt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?”

If you’re interested in pre-ordering the film, you can do so here. You can preorder the 22-track album here.
