Just in time for the New Year, Austin Carlile announced his departure from Of Mice & Men, with a statement suggesting it was due to health issues. We could only wonder Carlile’s difficulty living with Marfan syndrome for the rest of his life. Now that time has passed, it seems, his departure could be from creative differences. During his initial departure from the group, he did admit plans to write and sing in the future.
According to Rockfeed, Carlile opened up on his Twitter, sharing personal statements making us wonder if he was talking about his former bandmates.
Rockeed reports that fans reached out to Carlile wondering what the future has for the Of Mice & Men and if he would write for them. Carlile replied:
“No I will no longer be writing with them, one of the reasons I left. They weren’t going to let me write what I wanted on next record. That’s not gonna happen. I will write what I want despite what that means giving up.”
“Who knows. I will continue making the music that I want though, what’s in my heart, don’t worry. Part of the reason I left was because I wasn’t able to do just that.”
At least we know, he’ll be back in some form, and that makes us curious to hear what his future project will sound like.
You can see his questionable posts below, along with his letter of resignation:
I’ve been SO incredibly happy since I dumped ppl who were trying to silence my voice & only stood by my side when they were to gain from it.

true friends will buckle down & help you change the world. fake friends only want you to help the world as long as it benefits themselves.

if people in your life try to keep you quite, or disagree w/ your beliefs when they no longer benefit from them, get them OUT of your life.

if a person, or group of people, are in your lives trying to silence your voice or demean your beliefs, cut them out of it entirely.
