The eighth Deftones album will almost definitely be coming out this year. In fact, it was supposed to have been out last year. Having supposedly have been wrapped up since August, the album was pushed to a November release date. November came, and while the band were set to perhaps debut a song on November 21 in London, the awful Paris situation brought the band’s European tour to a close before it even happened (the London show has been rescheduled for June 3). And while nothing officially has been said, a screencap that was allegedly taken by a foreign journalist shows the album title as Gore, and theprp suggests that it will be out on March 18, with other prognosticators on their Facebook page saying April. Again, this is all unconfirmed, but this might be the track listing to Gore:
“Prayers/Triangles”
“Acid Hologram”
“Doomed User”
“Geometric Headdress”
“Hearts/Wires”
“Pittura Infamante”
“Xenon”
“(L)MIRL”
“Gore”
“Phantom Bride”
Either way, we’ll almost certainly be hearing more soon.
