Face it, Adele isn’t going anywhere. The singer’s album, 25, was released this past Friday, and in three days already became the best-selling album of 2015. It’s set to have the biggest sales debut (about 2.9 million) ever in one week since SoundScan started in 1990. You’ve probably already heard “Hello,” whether you want to or not, but you’re about to even if you haven’t. Perhaps because of the album title, Ten Second Songs’ Anthony Vincent covered the song in 25 different styles. Among the styles are Deftones, Alice In Chains, Guns N’ Roses and, very briefly, Dimmu Borgir. Usually he throws a little more metal in his interpretations, but maybe because Adele is a little more mass appeal, he throws in Etta James, Roy Orbison, Electric Light Orchestra and the Backstreet Boys. Either way, it’s entertaining, and while he’s a great singer, the arrangements of the song are also just as impressive. At the very least, it’s a nice break from hearing the original, which we must have heard a thousand times already.
