Tomorrow (13), Kentucky death crust band Tombstalker will release their first full-length album, Black Crusades, on Shadow Kingdom Records. Imagine, if you will, a cross between Swedish death metal, d-beat thrash and the thrashy death of Bolt Thrower. Actually, you don’t have to imagine any more, because today we’re premiering “Soul Eater,” one of the standouts on the album.
Forming in 2008, the Lexington band’s first actual release aside from some splits and demos was 2011’s self-titled EP. Here’s what the band said upon signing with Shadow Kingdom:
“Warriors! We are proud to announce that we are now in conspiracy with Shadow Kingdom Records,” says guitarist / vocalist Conqueror Horus. “This marks an important milestone for us as a band and we are pleased to say that our debut album, ‘Black Crusades’ will see a CD release this fall with vinyl and cassette formats to follow. This is merely the beginning of a long journey into the chaotic dark realms of Tombstalker. Prepare your souls!”
Black Crusades is out tomorrow on Shadow Kingdom. You can pre-order the album here.
