Megadeth started a countdown timer a few days ago, with isolated tracks (like the drums) from presumably new material leaking out from time to time.
Now you can hear all the different tracks together over at system.megadeth.com – David Ellefson’s bass, Chris Adler’s drums, and the guitar riffing of most likely both Dave Mustaine and Kiko Loureiro. If you mouse-over the vertical lines on the right side of the screen you can solo individual tracks, too. The countdown looks like it’ll be at zero on Friday, October 2nd at 12pm EST, so perhaps we’ll get a full song from their as-of-yet untitled album? Fingers crossed.
Dave Mustaine revealed the track-listing of the new album back in July, which includes two covers, but not much else is known about the band’s 15th studio album. We do know, however, that Megadeth will be doing a co-headling tour with Lamb of God in the UK and Ireland this November, with Children of Bodom and Sylosis providing support.
