We were a little skeptical on Monday when we reported that Motörhead was going to return to touring in St. Louis last night. Obviously, we were hoping for the best for Lemmy, after a lung infection forced him to cancel two shows and end another two early in the past week. While many would have been disappointed if the 69 year-old frontman postponed his tour dates and rested up until he was able to perform, no one would have really been that upset, since his health is way more important. However, it turned out that a few days of rest was all he apparently needed, as the band played St. Louis last night and finished the whole set without a hitch, the first time that had happened since August 24th. The real test will be tonight in Indianapolis, as we’ll see if the band can handle a full set two nights in a row. Here’s what the band wrote on Facebook.
St.Louis!!!! St.Louis St.Louis SAINT LOOOOUUUIIISSSS!!!!!! How LOVELY it was for Motörhead to kick every single one of your asses tonight eh?!!!!!!! (thanks to Victor for the speedy pix!)

In other Motörhead news, the band have launched their own line of sex toys in conjunction with vibrator maker Lovehoney. The four bullet and torpedo-shaped vibrators, called “The Official Pleasure Collection,” has Lemmy’s seal of approval, with the iconic bassist and vocalist exclaiming “One of the songs on our debut album was called ‘Vibrator,’ so we had to have our own one day, right? Apparently, it was worth the wait!” Lovehoney cofounder Neal Slateford commented, saying:
“We designed these classic vibes for both fans of Motörhead and rock lovers, as well as those who just want a cool-looking toy to add to their collection. The range captures the rock’n’roll lifestyle of the band perfectly, and offers a unique counterpoint to the traditionally pink and purple toys that currently dominate the market.”
You can vibe with Lemmy here, if you’re so inclined.
