Anthrax are feeling the pressure to top Worship Music. Charlie Benante says as much in this studio clip of the band working on the new album. We found out recently that the band’s follow up to 2011’s Worship Music wouldn’t be coming out until next year. Now we know a little more about why – they’re trying to go to “the next level,” which is what the video update is title, taken from a Benante quote. The band have recorded 18 songs, and Ian explains that they’ve been taking their time recording those songs, so they have a fresh perspective. You’ll also notice that while there’s still an #anthraxalbum hashtag, the “15” is conspicuously absent. So while there’s one less album to look forward to in 2015, we now have one more to look forward to in 2016. And hey, at least they’re not essentially telling you to sleep until it comes out.
