Marilyn Manson has increasingly found himself branching out into acting, with turns on Sons of Anarchy and Eastbound & Down in recent years. Given the theatricality of his stage show, it’s not much of a stretch to see him flexing his dramatic muscles. His new video for “The Mephistopheles of Los Angeles” is less a video than a short film, with Michael K. Williams (of The Wire and Boardwalk Empire) in the video. Manson himself walks around Los Angeles, cradles, baptizes and ultimately drowns a girl and interacts with gang members in the moody black and white video that was directed by Francesco Carrozzini, who’s also helmed videos by A$AP Rocky and Beyonce.
