While it’s been a decade since the last album from M.O.D., it’s been thirty years since their debut breakthrough album, U.S.A. For M.O.D. A crossover thrash classic, there’s no way that the mostly politically incorrect lyrics, courtesy of outspoken frontman Billy Milano, would pass muster today, but the riffs persist. An offshoot of S.O.D. (which featured Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Charlie Benante and Nuclear Assault’s  Dan Lilker), Method of Destruction have released seven studio albums, with the last being 2007’s Red, White & Screwed.

The band had taken some time off in 2009, but the band’s eighth, Busted, Broke & American, will be released on Megaforce on July 7th. With titles like “You’re a Fucking Dick” and “All Out of Bubblegum,” it’s obvious that Milano’s outsized personality is still intact. As we premiere the title track, “Busted, Broke & American,” we asked Milano a few questions about where the band’s been, and as a proud Republican, what he thought of our current President.  The answer may not surprise you.

Where’s MOD been for the last decade or two?

We honestly have been active, but just for shits and giggles. I didn’t really have an agenda until I started to see there was enough reason to consider recording a record

Times have changed since S.O.D. and M.O.D.’s first albums. Has your attitude towards, I guess what we’ll call political incorrectness, changed at all? Do you think people have become more sensitive?

I am certainly wiser but I have brass balls. These little sickos running around rioting and burning shit are gonna find themselves shit out of luck when people in this country finally stand up and start shooting.

It’s not like M.O.D.’s music is super political in nature, but you’re a proud Republican. Any thoughts on our current president?

Love him. FUCK EVERYONE. Hillary Clinton is the disaster that sunk the Democrats. The country sees the sickness in both parties. All we want is to get spending under control, end these wars and find and Hang George Soros for sedition . Then its time for the lil commies. We’ll be ready.

Busted, Broke & American will be released on July 7th, and can be preordered here or on iTunes here.
