Depending on how many music videos releases each week, we are going to start looking through all of them to select a Top 5 best. Choosing five was a bit tricky, as I narrowed it down from at least ten.  However, this batch includes either an eye-catching aesthetic, unique storyline or using a classic and entertaining concept. Here are this week’s top five music videos that we think are worth visiting.

5) Evil Invaders – “Raising Hell”

First up, the fun and energetic new tune from the Belgian thrash metal group with “Raising Hell” off of the upcoming album In For the Kill that releases on September 30 via Napalm Records. The song itself fills up with guitar riffing intensity as the vocals speeds in with high and low pitches. The video brings back an older style, as the lights move along with the rapid rhythm.

4) In Flames – “The End”

Just under two months left until the Swedish metallers In Flames releases Battles on November 11. Now last week they released the lyric video for “The End,” and just a few days later the music video has been unveiled to us all. The song itself is a bit different than the typical In Flames we are used to hearing. However, the video is eye-grabbing as it looks like you are walking in your own Gears of War game-like world.

3) Gojira – “The Shooting Star”

First of all Gojira’s Magma is currently my top ten favorite albums from this year. The moment I saw the announcement of the new video from the first track of the album “The Shooting Star,” I was pumped. The visuals create the album’s morbid theme of loss as the editing moves well between the animated motions and band interaction. The course runs through as though one is searching for the light after a sea of darkness and you will find yourself watching this piece on repeat.

2) Rob Zombie – The Hideous Exhibitions Of A Dedicated Gore Whore”

Rob Zombie continues to let the freaks out with his new video of “The Hideous Exhibitions of a Dedicated Gore Whore” off of his sixth solo effort, The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser. Zombie cleverly revealed the video on the same day as his new horror film 31. Known for his love of horror and bright visuals, this video is no different as it consists of Zombies, monsters, and freaks.

1) Amon Amarth – “Raise Your Horns”

The best video of the week I believe goes to Amon Amarth’s “Raise Your Horns” from their new album Jomsviking under Metal Blade Records. It is a simple concept, where it consists of people and several cameos raising their horns. The cameos include an extensive list including horror fanatics, TV personalities including sports to members of bands from Anthrax, Asphyx, Avatar, Behemoth, Cattle Decapitation, Disturbed, Doro Pesch, Enslaved, Entombed A.D., In Flames, Killswitch Engage, King Diamond, Kreator, Megadeth, Nightwish, Overkill, Sabaton, Slayer, Trivium, Volbeat, and Zakk Wylde, and more!

Double Bonus – two videos from the previous week:

1) High on Fire – “The Black Plot”

One would question if this is a music video or a full-fledged animated short film with the latest from High on Fire’s “The Black Plot.” It’s an ambitious piece indeed and beyond creative. “The Black Plot” is from the album Luminiferous that was released in June 2015 under eOne Music.

2) Carach Angren – “When Crows Tick on Windows”

At this point, I would love to consider Carach Angren horror masterminds after this new video release of “When Crows Tick on Windows.” The pacing, movement, and style make it captivating from beginning to end. The story brings darkness and sadness, and you can hear it off of their latest album This is No Fairytale via Season of Mist.
