Soen have unveiled a music video, concept, and story by Terra for the song “Memorial.” The single is the title track taken from their upcoming album, which is scheduled to arrive on September 1 via Silver Lining Music. The song combines melodic elements with heavy guitars and evocative vocals, exploring the theme of war. The band will celebrate the new album by embarking on a European tour in September, with an additional UK date on October 13 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. 

Drummer Martin Lopez comments:

“It is a song to remind us of the victims of the power games that our so-called leaders play.” 

Vocalist and co-founding member Joel Ekelöf adds:

“It’s about PTSD and the effect war has on people like you and me that are sent to kill and die and have to pay that price for the rest of their lives.”
