Mastodon played a “secret” show under the alias Big Hairy Elephant on Tuesday (16th) at Star Bar in Atlanta, Georgia, as a warm-up for their upcoming Ashes Of Leviathan co-headlining tour with Lamb of God. The tour, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Lamb of God’s Ashes Of The Wake and Mastodon’s Leviathan, kicks off on Friday (19th) in Grand Prairie, Texas. Both bands will perform their respective albums in full, joined by special guests Kerry King and Malevolence, with Unearth on select dates.

In anticipation of the tour, Lamb of God released a reimagined version of their fan-favorite track “Laid to Rest (Health Remix),” available on the Ashes of the Wake (20th Anniversary Edition), set for release on August 30 via Epic Records and Legacy Recordings. This expanded collection includes mixes by Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh/Jesu), Kublai Khan TX, and Malevolence, along with previously unreleased live tracks.
