Last night, Machine Head played their first live show with new bassist Jared MacEachern at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, Washington. MacEachern comes as a replacement for former bassist and band founder Adam Duce, who was let go earlier this year. The band picked MacEachern after an extensive online audition process that saw entries from the likes of Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory), but MacEachern, who previously toured with and did backing vocals for the band beat out the competition, and their show last night marks his first official gig as a member of Machine Head.
Fan filmed footage of them performing the intro to “Darkness Within” and “Davidian” is available below. While MacEachern is not in the spotlight, his harmony vocals are clearly audible, and are a clear reason why the band picked him.
