There are many fathers who dream about their offspring following in their footsteps and taking over the family business. Imagine if the family-owned business involves being part of one of the biggest metal bands in America? Slipknot are arguably the largest nu-metal acts to remain strong to this day, and while there have been rumors on a possible end approaching for these giants, Corey Taylor assured everyone a new album will arrive sometime next year. However, if these guys do plan on pulling the plug, there’s always Taylor’s and percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan’s sons waiting in the wings.
It wasn’t too long ago (last summer, to be exact) when Griffin Taylor joined his dad on stage at a Stone Sour show. We can only assume this encouraged him to take his singing to the next level. Griffin has since formed a band with Simon Crahan (drums), which you can see footage of the two rocking out to a few Slipknot tracks – “The Devil In I,” and “Dead Memories.” It appears these two are taking their musical career seriously and we are looking forward to hearing what they will come up with. Who knows, maybe they will become the next Slipknot.
