For the past year and a half, Cooking Hostile has been a fun diversion for fans of metal and animation. The series found new and creative ways to make food-related Pantera puns, involved other bands as well, and was funny enough to actually get Phil Anselmo himself involved. The show was a bit off kilter, but never overstayed its welcome. Now the creator of the series, Joey Siler, has returned with a trailer for a new series.

Called Six Going South, it follows the fictional “metalbilly” band, Possum Playin Polecats. If you’re familiar with the animation style of Cooking Hostile, you’ll be comfortable with this. It’s also got weed jokes, a jab at Insane Clown Posse, a few songs (including a short black metal one), and a lead singer that has a tail with a hand. If Siler gets a positive enough of a response, then he’ll make this a full-fledged series, so check it out, and if you like it, let him know.

Oh, and also, he says in the comment thread that a fifth episode of Cooking Hostile has been written and he plans to spend some time on it this year as well!
