Having unveiled the album art and release date earlier this month, Clutch has just unleashed a music video for the song, “X-Ray Visions,” the first single from the band’s latest album, Psychic Warfare. Though originally slated for a September release, the band’s 11th studio album got pushed back a month to October.

Said vocalist Neil Fallon of the album title, and the meaning behind this new song:

“The title ‘Psychic Warfare’ is taken from the track, ‘X-Ray Visions. It’s a tale about an unnamed protagonist who is forced to seek refuge in a flop house motel. He is hiding from several nefarious psychic forces, the worst of which is his own sleep deprived paranoia.”

As you’ll see in the video (below), the video matches up pretty much perfectly with that description.

Psychic Warfare comes out October 2nd on Weathermaker Music, just as the band hits the road the next day on tour with Corrosion of Conformity, and The Shrine (plus an appearance at KnotFest). Psychic Warfare is the band’s first studio album since Earth Rocker, which came out in 2013.
