Before YouTube, talented musicians that weren’t in bands had to go to Guitar Center to show off. The video service has given countless musicians like Rob Scallon and Andy Rehfeldt an outlet, as well as 10 Second Songs. Scallon’s sometimes co-contributor Jared Dines has tuned down to G and played 10 iconic guitar riffs. How do “Smoke on the Water,” “Seven Nation Army,” and “Sunshine of Your Love” sound like downtuned? Pretty rad and heavy. Also kinda samey. If you stick around to the end, you’ll get an even heavier version of “Sunshine of Your Love.”
