The latest Guitar Hero Live line-up just got a massive metal boost. Announced earlier this year after a five year hiatus, and with a lackluster opening line-up, Guitar Hero Live has bolstered its metal offerings with some pretty solid acts.
Said Jamie Jackson, FreeStyle Creative Director, to Rolling Stone:
“It’s been 10 years since the first Guitar Hero game came out. When you think of it like that, and think about how much the musical landscape has changed since then – that’s where we’ve been able to explore some new types of musical style as well. Guitar music is broader than it’s ever been – so we’re reflecting that in the range of music on offer.”
The latest Guitar Hero Live, out this fall, will be available on PS 3 and 4, Xbox One and 360, Nintendo Wii U and (somehow) mobile devices. The timing couldn’t be better for the Deftones who have an album out in September, and Killswitch Engage who might have a new album out later this year.
