Last week, Disturbed frontman David Draiman teased that he had made two “major announcements” during his appearance on That Metal Show. Though it was safe to assume what one of the announcements entailed, Draiman confirmed last night (March 19) in a series of tweets that he indeed is working on a new project.

Not only did the Disturbed singer reveal that one of his TMS announcements involved a new project, but also gave further insight as to what we can expect to hear. “INDUSTRIAL. THINK NINE INCH NAILS/MINISTRY,” Draiman shouted after a series of inquiries. Draiman also confirmed that the still unnamed project has already landed a label deal.

Exactly which label Draiman’s industrial project has signed with, or when new material plans to get released, is still unknown. It wouldn’t be too surprising to us if it wound up on Reprise, where Disturbed had a series of platinum-plus albums until their B-sides collection, Lost Children, which has sold about 150,000 copies in 18 weeks. We’ll most likely know soon enough when Draiman’s appearance on That Metal Show airs on May 26 on VH1 Classic.
