One of our favorite albums from last year was Zeal & Ardor’s Devil is Fine. The brainchild of Swiss musician, Manuel Gagneux, the album blended black metal, negro spirituals and even electronic music into an intoxicating blend unlike anything we’d heard any time recently. After expanding to a full band, the group played a show at Couleur 3 in Switzerland, premiering a new song to boot. They also announced a European tour as well as a stop at Psycho Las Vegas. The fact that they had an American show led many to hope that they would be playing some more shows in America, and it’s been announced that they have planned a short North American tour around those dates.
In addition to Vegas, they’ll be playing shows in Los Angeles, Chicago and Brooklyn. And while four shows isn’t that much, we’ll take what we can get from a band that’s not only new to playing live shows, but wasn’t even a full band until this year. Zeal & Ardor’s tour dates are as follows:
8/19 Los Angeles, CA @ The Hi Hat
8/20 Las Vegas, NV @ Psycho Las Vegas
8/22 Chicago, IL @ The Beat Kitchen
8/23 Brooklyn, NY @ Saint Vitus
