We haven’t heard a ton from The Dillinger Escape Plan lately. One of us is the Killer came out almost two years ago, and while they’ve toured in support of it, Greg Puciato has had Killer Be Killed and Ben Weinman’s been busying himself with his excellent Party Smasher Inc. blog as well as Giraffe Tongue Orchestra. When we went to see Mutoid Man and Primitive Weapons at Saint Vitus Bar a few weeks ago, we ran into Weinman at the show. Little did we know at the time that there was something in the works that would bring all three bands together this Summer. Dillinger has announced a brief but awesome four-city tour with Mutoid Man, Primitive Weapons and Rosetta. They’ll be playing Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston and New York starting on June 16th. And while they definitely could have thrown the show at Saint Vitus as an underplay, it’ll be pretty exciting to see all four bands play at New York’s much larger Irving Plaza.
