miss-may-rise-of-the-lion-2014There’s a lot of things we find ourselves writing about time and time again here on the site. And  when we’re reporting about life on the road, the only thing we find ourselves writing more about than bands getting their gear stolen in St. Louis is bands being involved in accidents. There are some truly horrific accidents, like The Ghost Inside‘s last year, there are some that are a lot more minor in nature, like the one that befell Miss May I.

While there aren’t that many details yet, Levi Benton, the singer of the Ohio metalcore band, posted a picture on his Instagram account that showed some damage to the band’s trailer. Thankfully, however, no one in the band was injured. Bassist Ryan Neff tweeted about the accident, stating “In a big pile up on I-39. Wrecked and doged cars like a mother fucker and only took out the trailer.” Unfortunately, the band has pulled out of tonight’s show in Chicago. It’s unclear if any of their equipment was damaged, but at least everyone in the band is ok.
