04) Voivod announce two Livestream events

Voivod have announced two Livestream events. Continuing with Voivod’s Hypercube Season 2, the group will be performing their classic album Nothingface for the first time ever on May 30th, which is also in celebration of Michel “Away” Langevin’s birthday. For Hypercube Season 3, will feature the classic Dimension Hatröss album and will stream on June 27th. Both events will be available on demand for 48 hours after the show.

05) Steel Panther announce May Livestream

Steel Panther have announced a May Livestream event dubbed, The Fans Come First. The virtual event will take place on May 22nd at 5 PM EDT, 10 PM BST. “Fanthers” will have a chance to pick out the set list via submitting suggestions at this location. Additionally, this also gives fans a chance to connect directly with the band as they can also upload short videos of themselves talking about how they discovered the group or discuss their favorite song. These videos will then be shared during the upcoming event. Tickets for the livestream are $15, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Dogs Without Borders. Fans who purchased tickets under 2 for $20 promotion last year will automatically have access to the show. The stream will be available until June 6th, and you can buy your tickets and merch bundles here.

The group comments:

“It has been over six months since we have been able to do a livestream from Los Angeles. With summer just around the corner, we figured now is the perfect time to come together with the fans and help some dogs while at it. The fact the fans will be picking the set list for this one is something that we couldn’t be more excited for. It is going to an adventure for us as much as it will be for them.”

06) Primus announce rescheduled tour dates

Primus have announced the rescheduled tour dates for their tribute to Rush’s 1977 album, A Farewell to Kings. Wolfmother will support the entire trek as The Sword will open on select dates. The tour is expected to run from August through October. Tickets are available at this location.

Primus issued the below statement:

“Finally, the clouds are parting, the planets are aligning, the dough is rising…whatever metaphor floats your preverbal boat, PRIMUS is going on tour again. We were poised and ready for a massive, bent-rock extravaganza when the gremlins of covid came and yanked the rug out from under us all. I personally have been climbing the walls like a shit-house rat and, after my first season off in 30 some odd years, I’m very anxious and excited to stand in front of the microphone with my four string piece of furniture and belt out some girthy ditties to sweaty throngs of punters.

C’mon Down,

Les Claypool

As government restrictions and current health & safety protocols continue to be monitored, we have slightly shifted the “A Tribute To Kings” tour to begin this August and run through October. Check out the list of newly rescheduled dates.

Special guests Wolfmother will be still be joining for the entire tour and The Sword will open select dates. All original tickets will be honored. For those not able to attend the newly rescheduled dates, a refund window is now available for the next 30 days from the original point of purchase.

Due to international travel advisories, Toronto, ON is cancelled as we work to make new plans across multiple Canadian cities in 2022. Lafayette, NY and Minneapolis, MN were also unfortunately not able to fit into our immediate plans and have been cancelled. Refunds will be issued from point of purchase. Tickets, including VIP upgrades, are available at www.primusville.com
