dyingfetusbandCurrently on tour with the Metal Alliance, Dying Fetus had an unusual request from a fan, and they followed through with it. Last night before their show in Chicago, the band posted a Facebook message stating that a Dying Fetus fan from Illinois, Nick, passed away and his wishes were to have his ashes scattered onstage at one of the band’s shows. The band posted a picture of a test tube labeled “Nick,” presumably with his ashes in it, and asked if they thought they should follow through with his wishes.

Two hours later, the band followed up, stating “we just scattered Nicks’ ashes in the pit for his favourite song, homicidal retribution, may he RIP. Rest in the pit \m/” That’s probably the most metal way the fan could have met his end, and we’re sure those in attendance were psyched  as well. It’s going to be tough for the band to top this. The Metal Alliance tour continues through the end of the month. You can check dates here.
