Of all the shows that Tool is playing this Summer, the Glen Helen Amphitheater shows in Southern California was already the biggest show on the tour. While the quartet are playing some festival shows in New York and Boston, this show, featuring Primus, Melvins and The Crystal Method, was practically them headlining their own festival. Now the already stacked lineup has gotten even better, as Clutch and Fantomas have been added to the lineup.
Fantomas, one of Mike Patton’s many projects, will be playing their first [ed: note: first U.S.] show since 2008, It’ll be relatively easy for the show to happen, as the remainder of the lineup includes Melvins members Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover. Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn is also in the band. Clutch is another perfect addition to the lineup, and they’ll be on tour all summer long with Primus.
