Black Label Society are currently in the middle of a tour with the mighty Judas Priest. However, Zakk Wylde and the gang have apparently been confirmed to open for the new Guns N’ Roses on a handful of dates in December. “Get ready for the maximum amount of rock n’ roll possible in one night,” Wylde said of the tour in a Facebook posting revealing the news.

Interestingly enough, Wylde and Rose actually have a little history together. Back in 1995, Wylde (who was at the time recording Ozzy’s Ozzmosis) was asked to join Guns N’ Roses as a replacement for Gilby Clarke. While Wylde did jam with GN’R (which at the time still included Slash), he eventually never joined. In fact, the situation with GN’R caused Wylde’s first split with Ozzy. Now, 16 years later, Zakk Wylde’s band is opening for the band he almost joined (fun little trivia fact, BLS have released 8 full length albums since then, while GN’R have only released one).

The news just so happens to come at the same time that BLS release an acoustic Christmas themed EP. Glorious Christmas Songs That Will Make Your Black Label Heart Feel Good is available on iTunes now. You can check out BLS’ upcoming dates with GN’R (in addition to a few headlining shows) after the jump.
