Coronavirus: Belphegor & Suffocation co-headlining European tour w/ Hate CANCELLED

Posted by on March 15, 2020

Belphegor and Suffocation’s second leg of the Europe Under Black Death Metal Fire tour with Hate was sadly cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic.

All three bands issued statements:

Belphegor:

“CORONA HYSTERIA KILLED THE »EUROPEAN BLACK DEATH« CRUSADE!
Helmuth states: “The whole EU tour was amazing with packed venues, but then the nightmare began after the excellent sold-out ritual in Athens, Greece. Both Italy shows were canceled, followed by problems in Switzerland, Portugal, etc.

At least we could shred 15 ceremonies out of 29. Guess we were one of the last bands on the road that would have marched until the end, but we needed to stop in Switzerland and capitulate since all borders closed somehow. Anyways, hails to the horde and as always, BELPHEGOR will return stronger than ever before. See you all again on the road to hell.”

Furthermore all shows til mid-April are canceled because of the pandemic including the Slavic tour and Dark Easter Metal meeting. The band will stay hermetic and soon start tracking the new album that will be released late October, followed by a worldwide touring offensive.”

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TONIGHT BELPHEGOR CONJURE THE DEAD IN SWITZERLAND!

13.03. – SUI – Wil, Gare de Lion. BELPHEGOR & HATE. Doors: 19:30”d

Suffocation:

“We regret to inform our fans that we have had to depart early from The Europe Under Black Death Metal Fire II due to the current travel restrictions which are growing more unstable by the day. As most of you know we DESPISE canceling shows but out of safety for the band and crew we had to make this decision.

The show taking place tomorrow in Wil, Switzerland, will continue with only Belphegor and Hate Offical performing. Following that, the remaining dates of the tour have been formally cancelled due to continued outbreak of COVID-19.

We will do our best to come back and get to all of our fans in the affected areas of France, Portugal, Spain and Germany as well as the other areas that were cancelled during the tour due to the pandemic.

We ask all fans to follow protocol of their governments and to stay healthy!! We want to see you all when we get back to you after this passes.

– Suffocation”

Hate:

“Due to new regulations introduced by the Swiss government, today’s show in Wil, Switzerland has been cancelled! This means that Europe Under Black Death Metal Fire Tour II stops here. After 15 euro shows (plus 5 in Russia) we’re returning home. We would like to thank our friends in Suffocation , Belphegor and VLTIMAS (Russian part of the tour) for great atmosphere and fantastic company. Big thanks go to The Flaming Arts agency for all the effort put in this great tour. We greet all our fans and followers that were fortunate to attend the shows and those who weren’t. We hope we will come back to tour in your countries when the Virus Crisis is over. Keep checking our social media for updates in the near future!”

“To all our fans and followers!

We are back to Homeland! All safe, no quarantine! Once again we would like to thank you all for attending our shows on Europe Under Black Death Metal Fire Tour and supporting the band. It means a lot! We will start working on new songs right away making best use of the time we gained because of the Crisis. More Death Black Metal Art’s coming! Slavonic Mythology themes will be further developed. We will definitely be back on tour in Europe and elsewhere once the Virus Crisis is over. Those who haven’t got the opportunity to attend the shows because of cancellations etc, you can check official HATE merchandise under the links below. You will find there just high quality items approved by the band. Getting stuff from these online stores is also a form of supporting the band so we appreciate it much. Stay vigilant and safe! All the best to you all!”
