As we established last year, I obviously have no idea what constitutes a romantic gesture.  As we also know around this time of year, flesh is bad, and metal is good. That’s why Mobile, Alabama’s Curse The Flesh are here: to learn you a thing or two about blackened death metal and eating your feelings. (maybe just that first one) The band’s debut full length, Black Majesty is a great synthesis of styles, mainly sticking to midpaced 90’s death metal, but working in melodic death metal’s harmonies with a thoroughly blackened atmosphere. (and appropriately gross lyrics to match)
