Rush is getting into the graphic novel business as they’ve partnered with Fatoons to release a novel chronicling the making of the band’s fifth album, A Farewell To Kings. The book is co-written by Fantoons’ Los Angeles-based creative director David Calcano and Lindsay Lee and the artwork was created by Juan Riera and Ittai Manero. Guitarist Alex Lifeson provided his input towards the story and album producer Terry Brown wrote the foreword.

Director David Calcano spoke about the release:

“We worked incredibly hard to create a graphic novel that celebrates the music of Rush, and the creation of the album of ‘A Farewell To Kings’ as a work of art. We think this book will be something for comics and music fans alike to cherish.”

The Making Of Farewell To Kings: The Graphic Novel is expected to arrive on September 10th and can be pre-ordered here.
