Marilyn Manson recently appeared in a New Hampshire courtroom on Monday (18th) to plead no contest to a misdemeanor simple assault charge related to an incident with a videographer during a 2019 concert. He initially faced two misdemeanor simple assault charges, but one was dismissed through a negotiated plea deal. Manson did not contest the charge and did not admit guilt. As part of the sentencing, he received a $1,200 fine, was ordered to complete 20 hours of community service by Sunday, February 4, 2024, and must alert police to any concerts planned for New Hampshire for the next two years. He is permitted to serve in California, where he resides.

During the 2019 concert, Manson allegedly approached the videographer and spat on her camera, striking her with saliva. He apparently returned a second time and blew his nose in her direction, further affecting her. Belknap County attorney Andrew Livernois detailed the incidents in court, emphasizing the impact on the victim, who had worked professionally in the industry for three decades. The victim expressed her hope that the sentencing would deter such behavior in the future.
