KoRn has been selling surgical masks before the Coronavirus outbreak, but since then sales have skyrocketed and they are all sold out, becoming the top-selling item in their store. Guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer posted a video on Instagram of his son, D’Angelo Draxon Shaffer, wearing the mask and saying “Don’t get the coronavirus, but get the KoRn virus at KoRn dot com.” If you still have the urge to purchase a mask, you can subscribe to be notified when they’re back in stock.

A friendly PSA that wearing a mask won’t actually prevent you from getting COVID-19:

“CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. You should only wear a mask if a healthcare professional recommends it. A facemask should be used by people who have COVID-19 and are showing symptoms. This is to protect others from the risk of getting infected. The use of facemasks also is crucial for health workers and other people who are taking care of someone infected with COVID-19 in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).”

However, the guitarist’s video has upset some fans, claiming that they are cashing in on the fear of corona, while others have encouraged them to lighten up.
