Roughly one week prior to Chester Bennington’s death, Linkin Park filmed an episode of Carpool Karaoke on July 14th. The new Apple Music series debuted last night (8) and now it’s up to the singer’s family to decide if this upcoming episode should air. The Associated Press recently interviewed James Corden and during the discussion, he revealed publishing this episode, which was originally scheduled to air sometime in October, is not up to him.
He stated:
“We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled. We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it, really. It’s completely up to them and that’s a conversation we haven’t even thought about having right now… It’s a tragedy.”
After the filming, actor Ken Jeong tweeted a photo of him on the Carpool Karaoke set with the band, which can be seen below:
