Guns N’ Roses’ hit single “Sweet Child ‘O Mine” is being turned into a children’s book. The book, based on the song’s lyrics, will be released on September 1.

A 30-second trailer announcing the book was posted to the band’s Twitter account Wednesday (6), giving fans of the band a glimpse of the theme and artwork.

“Iconic band Guns N’ Roses gives new meaning to the beloved lyrics from Sweet Child O’ Mine in this vivid, heartfelt picture book,” starts a description of the 40-page book on Amazon.

Published by Jimmy Patterson Books and illustrated by Jennifer Zivoin, the story “Follow[s] a child’s wondrous discovery that music is everywhere around us–from the gentle wind blowing through the bluest skies, to the fearful crash of the thunder and the rain.”

The description continues, “With Jennifer Zivoin‘s evocative, sweeping paintings, Sweet Child O’ Mine celebrates love and music, and how they bring us together in the sweetest ways.”

“Sweet Child ‘O Mine” was released as the third single from Guns N’ Roses’ breakthrough 1988 debut album Appetite For Destruction. The song rose to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart upon release and was certified gold. As of 2008, Appetite For Destruction has been certified 18x platinum.

‘Sweet Child ‘O Mine’ is available for presale on Amazon now.
