Former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey has revealed the full lineup of her new band, The Violent Hour. The group features Kiana De Leon (lead guitar), Allie Kay (rhythm guitar), Jewel Steele (bass), and Sasha De Leon (drums). Kiana and Sasha previously played together in Pantera tribute act Far Beyond Hostile and cover project Vixen Vendetta. On Friday (29th), Harvey shared the below statement on The Violent Hour’s social media:
“I’ve dreamed of having an all girl band my whole life. After a long search I finally found them. Four incredible women who share the same drive, passion, and fire that fuels me. We are The Violent Hour and we are your new favorite band.

Metal Insider spoke with Carla Harvey and Charlie Benante (Anthrax/Pantera), who collaborated with her on writing The Violent Hour EP. During the conversation, Carla was asked about the possibility of the project becoming a touring act. At the time, she expressed her hope for the group to be an all-female band, stating:
“I’m looking for the perfect bandmates right now. I have a vision of having an all-female band. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do ever since the Riot Grrrl movement in the ’90s. I’ve always loved that kind of vibe, and so that’s what I’m looking for. So if anyone out there plays a mean guitar and can do the solos that Zakk Wylde and John 5 have laid down on my EP, I need you. Yeah, I am really excited to play these songs live. I definitely want to take The Violent Hour on tour.”
The Violent Hour released their debut EP in July 2025. Read our review here, and order the EP at this location.
