If you didn’t preorder Tool’s Fear Inoculum or rush out to a record store purveyor on it’s release date last Friday to pick up the $40 limited edition deluxe version of the CD, you pretty much found yourself out of luck – until NOW. Through 11:59pm tonight (5), the band have found an additional allotment of the hot ticket items. According to the band, this is the final run of the package.
Regardless of what you think of the 86 minutes of music on Tool’s 5th CD (review here with contributor’s thoughts coming tomorrow), the physical package is amazing, with an LCD screen and speaker that plays some trippy Alex Jones animation and has a multi-page booklet as well. We haven’t seen anything else like it, and not only is it a conversation piece, it’s also going for quite a bit more than the list price on eBay. Once this sells through (or sells out), they won’t be making any more.
In case you haven’t seen it, here’s an unboxing. Now get on over to Toolarmy.com and order away because this is the last time you’ll be able to freak out about an amazing Tool limited edition package until the vinyl comes out!
