We’ve still got six weeks left in 2016, but after the year that’s been, we’re already looking forward to 2017. One such reason is that we’ll be getting a new Black Anvil album. As Was will be out on January 13th, one of the first releases of the new year. They’ve already released a song from it, with “May Her Wrath Be Just,” and if the rest of the record is as solid as this, it’s something to look forward to indeed. It’s thrashy, heavy and even slightly melodic toward the end.
