Living Colour frontman Corey Glover, ex-God Forbid drummer Corey Pierce and ex-Negative Sky bassist George Pond have teamed up late last year to form a new metal band, Disciples Of Verity. Now, the band is making their formal introduction with the release of their debut single, “Worthy.”
Featuring a guest spot from Nevermore / Arch Enemy guitarist Jeff Loomis, “Worthy” is a heavy track with thick, metallic guitars and plodding bass.
Glover told Revolver about the song:
“No matter what you go through, as long as you’re breathing and still here to see another day, it is another chance. Being worthy though, that is the rub you are always trying to figure out. The heart and mind play against each other. Your mind may say you aren’t good enough, but your heart knows you are worthy. That said, I am here for a reason. I am ‘worthy.'”
“Worthy” is the debut single from Disciples Of Verity’s upcoming debut album, Pragmatic Sanction. Though no official release date has been announced, the album is slated to hit shelves this winter.

Glover has been busy with Living Colour over the last couple of years. The band released their latest album, Shade, in 2017, their first in nearly eight years. Most recently, Living Colour have been celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Vivid, playing the album in full on various tour dates.
In addition to Living Colour, Glover was also working on another project last year with Dokken’s George Lynch. Ultraphonix, as they were called, released their debut album, Original Human Music, in June 2018.
