It’s been a few weeks since Converge let “Aimless Arrow” fly. With All We Love We Leave Behind coming out on October 9, the band have let another track out there. “Shame in the Way” is streaming now on Pitchfork, whose Brandon Stosuy did an insightful interview with vocalist Jacob Bannon. Among the revelations are that the title track (and album) are indirectly related to Bannon’s dog dying of old age. He also discusses their descision to tour with Torche and Kvelertak and ruminates on bands reuniting and the band’s upcoming 25th anniversary. As for “Shame in the Way,” it’s a two-minute blast that’s easily recognizable as Converge, which is to say it’s pretty great. Head over to Pitchfork to listen and read.
