Ozzy Osbourne is currently 72 years old but age won’t stop the Prince of Darkness from making new music. In an interview with U.K.’s Metal Hammer, Ozzy revealed that he has recorded 15 songs for a new record with longtime producer Andrew Watt.

“I’ve done 15 tracks. It’s kept me alive, you know. These past two years, I’ve been in a terrible fucking state between the accident [Ozzy seriously injured himself after falling at home in 2019] and then the pandemic. It’s kept me sane; I’ve needed the music.”

He added that his main focus is finishing the album.

“I struggle a bit, but slowly but surely we’re getting there. My only concern right now is finishing the bloody thing. We’ve got the same production time as the last time, so there’s definitely going to be some similarities. But you’ll just have to wait and see what you think.”

Back in December, Watt told Guitar World magazine that they were halfway through the album and some songs were close to 8 or 9 minutes long. In the meantime, watch Ozzy’s WWE Hall of Fame acceptance speech here.
