For those who are unfamiliar with him, Per Fredrik “PelleK” Åsly is a singer/songwriter from from Norway who sings for the band Damnation Angels, as well as his own band PelleK. However, while not recording with these two, PelleK maintains a very strong Youtube presence by recording up to 3-4 videos of him performing various cover songs every week. The album Covers Vol. 7, is exactly what the title implies, the 7th volume of covers songs PelleK has released. These covers are all taken from the videos done for his Youtube channel, which are recorded and arranged by him, and can vary from the ever frequent Nightwish cover to a 10 minute medley of Disney songs, to the theme songs from his favorite animes. He also has a section of his channel dedicated to mainstream songs being metalized (“Wrecking Ball,” “Rolling in the Deep,”  “The Fox (What Does the Fox Say)”) as well as metal songs being Disneyized. As of today, they are all currently available to purchase on iTunes or to steam via Spotify.
