Connecticut’s Physics of Demise have been around for a while, and as someone who used to play in a very similar style and lived in a similar location, they’re the kind of band I’m surprised I didn’t share a stage with at some point in the past. This is classic Swedish melodic death; chainsaw guitar tone and At The Gates vibes abound, but some of the lead melodies and chord choices remind me of late-period Dissection (klvt-cred aside, if you actually listen to the guitar work on that album you’d know that’s high praise)
