Last week, we confirmed the rumors on Alex Bent (Dragonlord, ex-Battlecross, etc.) as Trivium’s new touring drummer via our interview with Matt Heafy. After a few weeks of rumors, bassist Paolo Gregoletto confirmed on his twitter, revealing Bent is indeed playing with the band, hitting the road with them on their upcoming European tour next month. In the meantime, our interview stirred up quite a reaction, with former drummer Paul Wandtke first saying he found out he wasn’t in the band via an online post, then stating that that wasn’t actually the truth, and he’d been given his walking papers much earlier.
Alex sent us this video two days after being put in touch with him. We also had a few weeks of rehearsal together in November. 💯
