Denver, CO rockers Mind Incision, led by Jason Neil (formerly of Arcanium), formed in 2022, have been releasing a number of singles throughout 2024 ahead of their U.S. tour supporting Mushroomhead. While the trek concluded in October, the group is looking ahead to more live gigs in 2025 as they continue to work on a new record. Metal Insider caught up with the group, discussing favorite albums of 2024, plans for next year, and more.

You’ve released a number of singles this year. Can you reveal any updates on a possible new album?

Eight singles to be exact since our debut on February 17th 2023 of Slaves to the Game. We did throw all those singles on an album and are currently touring with physical copies of “Reflections” that you can pick up at a show or at our online store at this link and we are currently working on new song pre-production since we got home from our last tour. We are hoping to have the album finished in 2025, but that is still to be determined.

How was the experience touring with Ill Nino in Europe and Mushroomhead in the US?

Well, together they were probably the best and most fulfilling moments of our lives. But separately there are so many things that differ from one another. While we were out with ill nino and ektomorf in Europe we had amazing response from the crowds, played places we have never been too, and had eaten some of the best foods in the world. We were able to see some of the most popular, and oldest parts of Europe while we were over there, and i know it was  several bucket list items for each of us.  Concerning the US tour with Mushroomhead, UABB, and There is No Us- the entire tour was sold out. It was amazing to be back out there doing it again in front of sold out crowds and to see some of the world famous and historical places like the Machine Shop in Flint, MI and The Rave/Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee, WI. On this Tour we had our own bus as well instead of sharing one double decker like we did in Europe, so there was a little more privacy and freedom to do some different things here in the states. Not that sharing a bus was bad, but it was crowded. We made a lot of friends on both tours and made a huge impression not only on the fans but on industry professionals as well.

Metal Insider has recently addressed domestic violence-related issues hidden within the metal community. What are ways you’d do to stand up against this behavior, and from domestic violence to overall troubled experiences many sadly encounter, how do you address such topics within your music?

Domestic violence is an issue in all communities, not just metal. It’s an issue and needs addressed along with all the other issues we have written about so far. As Aneurysm of a Narcissist touches on the behaviors of a dealing with a partner that is damaging in emotional, mental, and even physical ways, we still have songs that are written to bring light to other things going on in the world like Suicide and Self harming awareness, homeless veterans with PTSD, and some topics about the music industry and how we are here not going away.

What are some of your favorite albums from 2024?

According to my Apple Music wrap my top album was “Take me back to Eden” by Sleep Token followed by “True Power” by I Prevail “The Death of Slim Shady” by Eminem “Eternal Blue” by Spiritbox and “Wisdom” by Stick Figure.

Moving ahead, what plans do you have for 2025?

We are writing but that album won’t come out in 2025. We have plans for touring and have already confirmed some festival dates. You can expect new merch as well. It’s gonna be a great year!

Is there anything else you’d like to say or add to your listeners?

Yes, we appreciate each and every one of you for being There to support us whether it’s through social media, at live shows, or simply just buying our merch. Without you we don’t exist. Thank you!
